Hi, I'm Carmina!
Glad to see you checking in! Just in case you've never heard my name before it's pronounced (Car-mean-uh). Let me tell you a little more about myself so we can get the small talk out of the way, at least from my end.
I was born and raised here in Hilton Head Island, so this is home. Along with another place very dear to my heart, mi querido Mexico. I moved to Mexico when I was 10, following my parent's divorce. Along with the adventure of taking on a new world -a new country, I perfected my Spanish -reading, writing and speech after finishing 5th grade and middle school in my parent's hometown. If you're familiar with Mexico we're from the beautiful San Luis Potosí. Home to all the marvelous mountains, rivers, streams, waterfalls, caves, you name it. Para mi gente hispana aquí estoy para servirles!
I'm a full-time mom of three beautiful babies -(Cairo , Caeli and Carlo), a photographer, a teacher, a chef, a gym-aholic and everything in-between. We are going into our second year in our homeschooling journey, and it has been nothing short of an amazing experience for everyone involved. We're a "Scrunchy", Semi-Crunchy Family, very self-aware of foods and daily products we consume. Although we do our best to refrain from processed and sugary foods, a treat here and there won't kill us... yet... lol just kidding. But like my fitness coach Vanessa likes to say, "It's all about balance baby". We are a very nature oriented, adventurous, outgoing family. We love everything from Monster Jam's, Children's Museums, The Beach, Petting Zoos, Local Farmer's Market's, Drive Thru Safari's, Fishing, Field Trips to our Local Establishments, etc. Anything within a 2/3 hour drive we'll be there.

It didn’t take long, till my creative hobby got noticed by friends and neighbors from the community, who wanted precious family moments captured in a similar, earthy, cinematic way. Since I knew them well, I could easily focus on their unique quirks and family dynamic. I love to create a fun and energetic space for everyone to relax and have fun, so I come prepared with games and prompts to capture those natural smiles and moments.
This is an essential step that I’ve kept with all my clients. Before we agree to work together, we'll meet in person or have a few online calls / texts, to get to know each other. It’s all about building trust prior to getting in front of a camera and of course hashing out alllllll details regarding your project.

I’ve been into photography since I can remember, I remember making my dad buy me those yellow and black disposable cameras at the grocery store. To him updating it to a pink digital camera when I was 11, and now finally owning my DSLR and professionally photographing for 2 years now. I’m still fully enamored with the opportunity to help families from all across The Lowcountry, save beautiful memories together and build their family legacy.
