MY PHOTOGRAPHIC JOURNEY STARTED FROM A PLACE OF PASSION AND LOVE


Hey hey! I’m Carmina Lopez, or Mina for short. I’m a family, children, maternity, newborn and wedding photographer as well as a full-time mom of two wonderful boys - Cairo (5) and Carlo (7 Months) as well as one daughter - Caeli (2). Born and raised on Hilton Head Island, one of the most picturesque and serene places of the Lowcountry, on the Southern East Coast. Naturally, all my pregnancy and early motherhood years I’ve spent on adventures with my babies, taking long walks, hitting the gym, admiring nature’s beauty and discovering my passion for photography while capturing my little ones grow along the way.

All in all we all everyone always says they do the best and put their best foot forward, but in this case, it is absolutely true! I take your project very seriously since the moment we first chat. I pay attention to cues as far as your personality and family dynamic. Will this be something very intimate and special between yourself and your partner or is this a quick updated family photoshoot before the kids grow another 2 sizes? I plan everything about your project from beginning to end. I am a MAJOR DIY'er, so I firmly believe if you're going to do something you do it right or you don't do it at all. I take my personal hobbies and skills and incorporate them into the construction of your project. From sewing a one-of-a kind custom made dress, to the newborn pillows and props for your newborn baby. I customize each session uniquely to your true person/family individuality.

It feels like only yesterday you found out that you’re expecting your baby. Nine months flew by, and you welcomed your newborn into the world. A few sleepless nights, and they’re already crawling, then walking, then running. You wish you could freeze time, so they stay little and curious about everything, for a bit longer. But time doesn’t stop, and all you can do is save each memory through a photo, and revisit it weeks, months and years from now.
